Advent: to us a Son is Given

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.(Isaiah 9:6–7)
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14)
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.” (John 6:37–38)
How glorious, beautiful, breathtaking...you begin to feel like to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, "Did not our hearts burn within us as He opened the Scriptures to us."
God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit have eternally existed in perfect harmony, unity, community within the Trinity...it is glorious perfection beyond human comprehension.
Isaiah writing about 700 years before the birth of Jesus prophesied of the first advent of the Messiah.  The glorious accuracy of God's Word is spectacular!  “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given."  Jesus as God incarnate had a beginning when He was conceived by the Holy Spirit in Mary, but God the Son was given by God the Father.  God the Son has eternally existed with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.
Take one more deep breath and dive deep with me!  When did the Triune God plan this rescue mission?  When did the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit design this great plan?
who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, (2 Timothy 1:9)

Father in Heaven, there is so much I don't understand, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU...for giving your Son, Jesus thank you for coming to save us and Holy Spirit that you for being poured into our hearts and enabling us to cry Abba Father!  Thank you!
Pursuing Intimacy with Jesus!
